Cheryl has two great passions in her life, children and art. She has been an artist for over forty years and has touched on many different mediums such as graphite, charcoal watercolor and acrylic and clay.

In addition to fine art, Cheryl has taught digital art with the Adobe products, Illustrator, Photoshop and Dream Weaver to children of ages nine through seventeen. She is certified in all three areas and carries a degree in Graphic Design, Web Development, Web Design and Liberal Arts.

clay

This class is an introduction to lightweight air dry clay.  Students will create and develop different sculptures and designs using clay as the medium for the art form.  From animal, to sea creatures, to insects and ornaments, the imagination knows no limits when it comes to this 3D art form.

Cheryl has worked with creating characters from clay for many years. When raising her son she would gather all the children in the neighborhood to create Christmas ornaments out of home-made flour and salt clay. This is a tradition she continues now with her grandchildren.

While this clay class is new to Arthaus 5, it is not new to Cheryl and she is excited to bring your child into an imaginative world of sculpting and forming amazing creations! We welcome you and your child!
