In this course, students will learn the fundamental principles of cartoon anatomy, color theory, character design, comic design, storytelling, and sketching. Our instructors will guide students through the techniques of drawing and creating engaging characters and stories. This class is the perfect opportunity to improve your skills and expand your artistic abilities. Students will explore watercolor, inking, sketching, and blending with markers as a part of their curriculum. By the end of the course, students will have developed a strong foundation in cartooning, making them well-prepared for our Anime and Comics classes. This class explores character design, story-boarding, and scene layout most often found in cartoons, anime and comics. Students primarily use professional-grade alcohol-based markers, which are used for establishing depth and shading. After taking our Intro to cartooning class, you will move on to strengthen your skills to a professional level with this course. Students will explore watercolor, inking, sketching, and blending with markers as a part of their curriculum. Take your art to a level of polish, emotional creativity, and improve your fundamental skills. If your child loves storytelling and creating unique characters and would love to learn more in an energetic but serious environment, Comic Illustration is what they are looking for!
