Meet Ruchika Kench

Ruchika Kench

The first time my interest in art sparked was when I was 4, and I was compelled to draw. My parents then enrolled me in an art class to improve my potential. As far as I remember, I loved going to art class, because it provided an atmosphere for me to express my feelings on paper. I have enjoyed creating art ever since. I have been taking classes with Arthaus5 since I was 9. Arthaus5 has helped me to grow a lot in art, by teaching complex shading, sketching, and painting techniques. This art class has broadened my artistic horizons, opening many new possibilities. Arthaus5 continues to inspire me in every single way possible. I aspire to be an astrophysicist when I grow up. The mysteries and vagueness of outer space has always inspired me, and the magical equations of physics are still a puzzle to solve. I usually tend to have a realistic approach towards my artwork. My favorite mediums are watercolors, acrylics, and colored pencil. I would love to pursue art as a passion, and inspire young artists. I would also love to create a group in the future, where young artists can collaborate and feed off of each other to create masterpieces. Some of the things I love painting or illustrating are animals, still life, and landscapes. I also enjoy writing, reading, astrophysics, particle physics, conservation, dance, piano, flute, hand lettering, and journaling.
